Am 9 Mai 2009 haben hat sich das carrotmob Berlin Team getroffen um die kommende Woche zu planen. /
On May 9th 2009, the carrotmob Berlin team met up to plan the upcoming week!

Unser Plan für diese Woche: / Our action plan for this week is the following:

-    so viel wie möglich Kiezläden/Spätis in Kreuzberg zu besuche. Den Inhabern zu erklären was wir machen. Ein erstes Angebot von den Besitzern der Läden zu bekommen und alle Kontaktdaten zu sammeln / go to various liquor stores in Berlin Kreuzberg, explain what we are doing and get as many offers and contact details as possible
-    um dies so gut einfach wie möglich zu machen, haben wir Kreuzberg unter uns eingeteilt und jeder ist sein Kiez abgelaufen. / in order to do this as efficient as possible, we decided who is going through which area.

-    design a new website for  www.carrotmobberlin.com (check out our first design) … will soon be online.

-    activate twitter, facebook and studivz

WE CHANGED OUR DATE

Da am 31. Mai Pfingsten ist, und daher verschiedene Leute von uns nicht in Berlin sein werden, haben wir uns heute entschieden den Carrotmob in Berlin auf den 13. Juni 2009 zu verschieben.

Due to the fact that Whitsun is on the 31st of Mai, we decided to postpone our Carrotmob to the 13th of June, 2009.

wir haben wieder kontakt mit den carrotmob jungs aus san francisco aufgenommen und werden nächste woche ausgiebig mit ihnen skypen.

endlich ist es so weit.

carrotmob kommt nach berlin!

melle und ich haben uns heute zusammen gesetzt und begonnen einen carrotmob in berlin zu organisieren.

in den nächsten wochen werden wir durch kreuzberg ziehen und erste carrotmob verhandlungen führen.

anbei schon mal ein kleiner teaser.

2008:

carrotmob hits germany

i am happy to inform you that carrotmob is hitting germany. currently my flatmate christian and i are brainstorming about how, when and where to organize the first german carrotmob in berlin.

carrotmob is a non-profit started by brent schulkin in san francisco. it organizes consumers to make purchases that give financial rewards to those companies who agree to make environmentally friendly choices.

you have probably seen the success they had with in march 2008 at the K&D market. if not, check out this video:

the event has shown that both businesses and consumers are excited about participating and that customers have a real impact in how organizations act.

since then the guys in SF have focused on developing a system/network that makes it easy for everybody to plan campaigns around the world.

while for the moment carrotmob is aiming at local campaigns, at some point the big global brands will be approached.

for the moment there are members organizing mobs in: berlin, boston, bristol, helsinki, cansas city, london, new york, paris and san francisco.

we’ll keep you posted and are looking forward to your ideas and comments.
